Pen on paper, seeds, and flamegold flower
Being a girl was not easy for me when I was younger because I acted like a boy and played with boys most of the time. I was unaware of gender differences and didn't give them much thought while playing with boys. I simply enjoyed spending time with people I felt comfortable with, regardless of their gender. It wasn't until puberty that I began to notice the physical changes and the so-called 'difference.
These drawings explore the body parts considered most predominant in women's anatomy, responding to my observations of my own body and the experiences I gained growing up as a woman in society.
